Lesson 2-4  Solving Equations With Variables on Both Sides

[<-Previous Lesson]
[Next Lesson->]
Objective:  To solve equations with variables on both sides; To identify equations that are identities or have no solution
Essential Understanding:

Equivalent equations are equations that have the same solution(s). In lessons 2-1 thru 2-5, students learn to use the properties of equality and inverse operations to find equivalent equations, and thus, solutions.

CCSS.Math.Content.HSA-CED.A.1 Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them to solve problems.
